1. What made you want to compete?
My personal motivation to want to improve my health & well being from the inside out. Proving to myself that “I can do anything I set my mind to do!”

2. What do you do to stay inspired?
Being a mother is my biggest source of inspiration! I want to always be a role model for my two daughters & teach them the importance of health & fitness as a lifestyle.

3. What shows have you already been in or plan to be in in the future?
I have competed in Fitness America Pageant in 2008 & loved competing. I am looking forward to stepping on the WBFF stage on November 3rd!

4. Who got you started?
I was lucky enough to be connected with Carla Dunlap (MS. OLYMPIA 1983). I trained with her almost ten years ago & have never forgotten the impact she made on me or what she taught me while training. She is an incredible example of a confident, strong & beautiful woman!

5. Who do you look to for help now?
Coach Doug Casebier of Total Body Advantage. I am in such great hands with TBA and know that when you have that level of expertise, experience & professionalism in a Coach you can only continue to improve!

6. Where do you usually workout?
Salem Athletic Club & Wellness Center in Salem, NH. It’s a wonderful gym equipped with everything including lots of motivated members!

7. Do you use any suppliments? If so, what ones (brands, names, etc)
Glutamine, BCAA’s, Udo’s Oil, Multivitamin & Calcium.

8. What are your most noticeable results?
My upper body. Specifically my back & biceps.

9. Has fitness changed your life? If so, how?
Fitness has given me back confidence, happiness & improved my overall health & wellness. As a teenager, I struggled with a lot of loss in my life. After losing several loved ones, including my father, I needed an outlet to work through my pain. My mother brought me to a Bally’s health club & I began to explore a whole new world! I started using free weights for the first time & was hooked. I learned how healthy & positive I felt after a good workout. I was able to channel some of my pain & turn it into strength- literally!

10. What personal fitness goals have you set for yourself?
To continually improve my physique & keep striving for the best me possible! I would like to keep competing & earn my Pro Card!

11. Describe your diet.
My diet is 100% whole foods. Unprocessed, unrefined clean eating. Lots of lean protein, power carbs, green veggies & good fats.

12. What does your workout schedule look like?
I am currently training six days a week. My lifting schedule as well as my cardiovascular schedule change frequently.

13. What do you do for a living?
I own an online clothing boutique & also work in the student loan industry.

14. What are your personal non-fitness goals?
First & foremost to continue providing for & being the best mother & wife I can be! I am also eager to tackle some new work opportunities in 2013!

15. Have you participated in any other sports?
From a very young age I danced for over seven years, played softball, basketball & volley ball. I have always loved being active!

I would like to thank my wonderful husband, my angelic mother & my two little pumpkins for making me want to be a better person just because I have them in my life!
I’d also like to thank my Coach, Doug Casebier & Karen Dancer of TBA for believing in me & helping me focus on pushing myself to new limits! It is an amazing feeling to know your are in such good hands!

17. Do you have any hobbies?
Working out 🙂 That is my number one way to spend any extra time I have. After my early am workout is over, its all about my two girls & we’re off & running!

18. What are challenges that you face that may keep you from reaching your fitness goals?
Juggling raising my five & one year old, working, being a good partner to my husband & still making time for me!
I have to remember as much as I sometimes wish that everything wasn’t so structured in my life, it helps me to keep everything balanced.

19. What obstacles have you overcome to be where you are?
To look beyond my flaws & continue to improve. Sometimes we can get “hung up” on what we dislike or see as flaws about ourselves & it hinders our progress. I chose to focus on the positive & it has helped me grow & meet my goals in fitness.

20. Is there anything else you would like to add that you think we’ve missed?
I am very excited to compete with the WBFF & I am looking forward to representing TBA!
