1. What made you want to compete?
To be honest, I never thought I would compete! My freshman year of college my diet consisted of candy, pizza, chips, soda and of course staying out late and going to parties. I had gained about 20 pounds and knew nothing about working out or having a proper diet. About a year ago, my family and I went on vacation to the Cayman Islands. That week changed my life because I looked in the mirror and saw a woman I did not want to be. I saw an unhealthy, over weight girl who needed to change. When I came back from my trip, I decided to change my lifestyle and change the way I looked. I decided to join crossfit and “Planet Fitness.” As months went on, I became so interested in bodybuilding, the fitness industry and over all nutrition. I became more familiar with figure/fitness competitions that it instantly turned a light on in my life that I should pursue this goal. I wanted to look and feel strong, sexy and confident in my own skin. I wanted to feel better mentally, emotionally and physically. Preparing for my first competition coming up November 8 in Rhode Island has already changed my life in so many ways. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me!!

2. What do you do to stay inspired?
I have many role models such as Nikki Blackketter, Nicole Costa, Dana Linn Baily and so many others who prove to me to never give up and to stay committed to your dreams. Having a goal set for yourself like this is an amazing thing. I constantly remind myself that I am doing this for me and I am going to try my hardest. I am a winner no matter what. Having positive energy through out my prep has helped me by giving me extra encouragement and strength to be and feel the best i can be!! I hope to inspire others that anything is possible!!! Being the best “you” is the best feeling. Never give up on your dreams or any type of goal you may have for yourself because you can/will get there. (:

3. What shows have you already been in or plan to be in in the future?
My first show is coming up November 8 in Rhode Island!!!!!!
However, I do plan on being in the Boston show in June and I would LOVE to make it to worlds!

4. Who got you started?
I wouldn’t have gotten this far with out my trainer Amber Workz. She has pushed me since day 1 and has never given up on me. She has been my rock through all of this and I am blessed for her support in my life. She gives me the best advice and pushes me all the way. She has taught me to be strong mentally, physically and emotionally and I can’t thank her enough for that. I love you Amber!!!!!

6. Where do you usually workout?
Ocean State Health and Fitness is where its at!!

8. What are your most noticeable results?
My legs and booty are my most noticeable results. Also my favorite things to work out! 🙂

9. Has fitness changed your life? If so, how?
Fitness has 100% changed my life. I never looked or felt this good in my entire life! I believe that handwork, dedication and determination can create a happy life. When I look in the mirror, I see a strong, confident woman. I thank God everyday for blessing me with such amazing encouragement and motivation that I have when it comes to taking care of my body. I mean, who doesn’t love a strong fit chick?!?

10. What personal fitness goals have you set for yourself?
Taking home a trophy and competing in worlds!!

11. Describe your diet.
I am eating clean. No sugars, except a piece fo fruit in the morning. Currently no dairy.I do have carbs earlier in my days, but they are healthy carbs. I eat a lot of lean proteins and vegetables. (Sometimes so many vegetables I feel like a rabbit haha)

13. What do you do for a living?
I am a full time waitress and I am attending school for criminal justice and social work!!! I also find time everyday to workout. Who knew a 20 yr old would have such a crazy-busy life?! ( not complaining though!)

15. Have you participated in any other sports?
My whole life I played softball and competed on an all star cheerleading team. (:

16. Here you can mention your family/thank you’s.
My family and friends are my biggest support through all this. There isn’t enough words in the world to describe how lucky I am to have them supporting me through my amazing journey!!! My mother continues each and every day to remind me that I have come this far and that giving up is not an option.

17. Do you have any hobbies?
I absolutely love nature and being outside. I love hiking and exploring beautiful places in this world!! I also love yoga and mediating because its a great way of getting deep with in oneself!!!

20. Is there anything else you would like to add that you think we’ve missed?
WBFF Rhode Island, I am ready to take the stage!!!!!!!
