1. What made you want to compete?
I have wanted to compete for awhile, but never thought I was mentally/physically capable to do so. Having the opportunity to compete at WBFF has made me push myself in more ways then one. It has taught me that I have will power and dedication and I am willing to do anything to succeed. I wanted to compete to show not only myself but my family and friends that I have the power to do anything. If I put my mind to it I can succeed. Since starting this journey I am left feeling empowered and confident, which was my goal.

2. What do you do to stay inspired?
To stay inspired I envision my ending goal. I think of being on stage and having that moment of absolute peace. That I accomplished what I set out to do. I did not enter this competition to win first. I entered to push myself in ways I never thought were possible. Me “winning” is when the announcer calls my number to walk on stage and present myself for the first time as a fitness competitor.

3. What shows have you already been in or plan to be in in the future?
This is my first show. However, I plan on competing again in June in Boston with WBFF.

4. Who got you started?
My best friend Leigha Hervey got me started with this sport. She is a bikini pro and always has talked to me about competing. Other then my coaches, Nicole Costa and Kayla Ferenc, she is the one person I go to for advice.

5. Who do you look to for help now?
I still look to Leigha, Nicole and Kayla. They are always there for tips and advice to help me look my best.

6. Where do you usually workout?
I usually work out at The Maxx in Lincoln, RI. I also am a dance major at Dean College, so I am very active throughout the day.

7. Do you use any suppliments? If so, what ones (brands, names, etc)
Yes, I use Advocare. I use catalyst, spark, MNS X3, Muscle Gain (protein shake) and Nighttime Recovery.

8. What are your most noticeable results?
I have noticed my body become leaner and my arms have become more toned. Being a dancer, I never focused on my upper body. All my muscle usually came from my legs. However, since I started, I have seen changes in my back and arms.

9. Has fitness changed your life? If so, how?
Yes, fitness has changed my life. I can’t imagine ever going back to my other lifestyle. I love going to the gym and being able to focus on what I want for myself. Fitness isn’t just a hobby for me. It is a lifestyle that intend to continue to achieve for the rest of my life.

10. What personal fitness goals have you set for yourself?
My personal fitness goals would be to have more muscle and to look more toned. My next goal is to compete in fitness instead of bikini.

11. Describe your diet.
My diet consists of:
Oats and egg whites in the morning
For meal 2, a protein shake
For meal 3, chicken, green beans, and a sweet potato
For meal 4, another protein shake
For meal 5, spring mix, chicken, and asparagus
And for my last meal, egg whites and spinach

12. What does your workout schedule look like?
On a typical day, I wake up at 5am to go to the gym. Then I have school and dance during the day. And then at night, I have a cheerleading practice for three hours. During the week I go to the gym six times a week.

13. What do you do for a living?
I am a student at Dean College and I am also a Patriots Cheerleader.

14. What are your personal non-fitness goals?
My personal non-fitness goals would be to become a teacher. I also want to become a Rockette which I have dreamt about for years.

15. Have you participated in any other sports?
Yes, I have participated in cheerleading since I was 2 years old. I cheered in middle school, high school, college, and now for the NFL.

16. Here you can mention your family/thank you’s.
I would like to say thank you to my parents. They had to deal with my mood swings, my meal prepping, and my freak outs. My mom and dad, didn’t understand this goal at first, but they were always supportive since day one. Without them I definitely wouldn’t have completed this goal. I would also like to thank my coaches, Nicole Costa and Kayla Ferenc, they helped me stay on the straight and narrow and helped me achieve my dream body. I can’t wait to make them proud as I strut my stuff on stage. Lastly, I would like to thank Leigha Hervey, Leigha helped me overcome many struggles I had when I was first getting started. Also, she made my beautiful bathing suit which will make me feel like a superstar on show day! I can’t wait to make all of my family and friends proud of me come November 8th.

17. Do you have any hobbies?
I am pretty busy so it is hard to have hobbies. But, I help my parents coach their cheerleading team and help them get ready for the competition season.

18. What are challenges that you face that may keep you from reaching your fitness goals?
A challenge that I have faced would be my stomach illness. I got my gallbladder out about three years ago. When the doctor was taking out my gallbladder, he did not clamp my duct off. This allowed me to get very sick. My bile was running into my stomach for about a month till the doctors realized what was wrong. Changing my diet and workout schedule has inflicted some pain to my stomach which sometimes makes me think I will not reach my goal. But, with the help of my parents, I am able to push myself and get passed my illness to reach a goal I have always dreamt of.

19. What obstacles have you overcome to be where you are?
Other then my gallbladder issues, I had to overcome my own way of thinking. I had to wake up everyday with a positive outlook which allowed me to continue on this journey. I am so happy I stuck with it. It just four short months I have changed physically and mentally! I am so proud of myself and can’t wait to see what the future holds for all my fitness goals.

20. Is there anything else you would like to add that you think we’ve missed?
I would just like to say I am very excited for this competition and everyone competing is so inspiring to me! I can’t wait to share the stage with people who are just as dedicated to this sport as I am.
