1. What made you want to compete?
I am constantly looking for new ways to challenge myself and conquer new goals, so what better way to push myself both physically and mentally than to transform my body and take my love of fitness to the next level.

2. What do you do to stay inspired?
I follow a lot of fitness models on facebook and instagram, the WBFF pro fitness models especially keep me inspired! If I’m having an off day I just look through their pictures and I am immediately ready to get back to work! I also love reading motivational quotes and stories.

3. What shows have you already been in or plan to be in in the future?
This is my first show and I am beyond excited!! I do hope to compete again in the future but focused on this one first!

4. Who got you started?
When I first decided to get serious about fitness my friend Kelley Tyan (who is also competing in this show) was the person to get me started. I attended her boot camp and she taught me everything I know about working out and eating right! She was also the person who encouraged me to compete 🙂

5. Who do you look to for help now?
I have an amazing support system of family and friends that are always there for me no matter what I need, my coaches Sean and Tiffany Larson (Personal Performance), and also so many of the WBFF pro athletes have been more than helpful in offering advice and tips for a competition rookie!!

6. Where do you usually workout?
My gym (Boost fitness- Worcester, MA), I also enjoy taking my workouts outdoors whenever possible.

7. Do you use any suppliments? If so, what ones (brands, names, etc)
Currently I only used BCAAS (USPlabs- Modern BCAA) and Protein Powder (Dymatize ISO-100).

8. What are your most noticeable results?
Definitely my abs! They have transformed dramatically from the start of my competition prep!

9. Has fitness changed your life? If so, how?
Absolutely. I use to be a party girl, my priorities were going out every weekend and drinking, because of that I was eating a lot of junk food and not getting nearly enough exercise. When my father was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in 2011, I decided I needed to make some positive changes for my own health. Not only has fitness given me confidence and physical strength, it gave me a place to channel my emotions. The gym is like my therapy session. If I’m stressed out or having a bad day, I take it out on the weight room and come out feeling a million times better!

10. What personal fitness goals have you set for yourself?
To constantly be better than the old me. Whether that may be beating a personal record in the gym or improving my body physically. My current goal is competing in my first fitness competition, and bringing the absolute best package to that stage.

11. Describe your diet.
I eat 6 meals a day, lots of lean protein, complex carbs, and tons of veggies! I absolutely love creating healthy, clean recipes and this competition prep has really helped me get creative with food. I love to eat so my food has to taste good!

12. What does your workout schedule look like?
Currently: Sunday- Legs, Mon-Back, Tues-Cardio, Wed-Biceps/Triceps, Thurs-Legs, Friday-Shoulders/Chest, Sat-Cardio.

13. What do you do for a living?
I am a Dental Hygienist in a family dental practice.

14. What are your personal non-fitness goals?
To inspire others and to live everyday to the fullest!

15. Have you participated in any other sports?
Yes I played soccer for many years and I was a cheerleader in high school.

16. Here you can mention your family/thank you’s.
Thank you to my parents who have supported me through this whole journey, and have put up with me through my ups & downs, words cant express how much it means to me. Thank you to the rest of my family & friends I love you all to death! My coaches Sean and Tiffany Larson who have made my transformation possible! Also my friend and former trainer Kelley Tyan, would have never done this if it wasnt for you! Lastly I want to thank God for giving me the strength to wake up everyday and conquer my goals.

17. Do you have any hobbies?
Working out and spending time with my friends and family.

18. What are challenges that you face that may keep you from reaching your fitness goals?
These past few months have been a challenge, my dad was recently hospitalized due to complications from cancer. I had to wake up extra early to fit in my workouts, and eat cold food out of a cooler for several days so I could spend time with him in the hospital. The emotions alone were stressful to say the least. One of my favorite quotes is “The strongest most successful people, learn to use pain as motivation.” I don’t give up easy!

19. What obstacles have you overcome to be where you are?
Again dealing with my fathers illness has been the major obstacle in my life. But my father is a fighter and the strongest person I know, I look to him for inspiration every single day.

20. Is there anything else you would like to add that you think we’ve missed?
I just cant wait for November!!!
